Support children and young people with social, emotional, and educational needs through creative and practical learning, including outdoor activities, cooking, gardening, and animal care.
About the RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils through engaging activities designed to build confidence, independence, emotional wellbeing, and life skills.
The curriculum includes:
- Woodwork
- Pottery and textiles
- Cooking and food preparation
- Gardening and animal care
- Outdoor learning activities
- A successful SEN Teaching Assistant will play a key role in helping pupils engage in education and achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND and behavioural needs
- Support learners through a therapeutic and practical curriculum
- Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence
- Encourage engagement through creative and outdoor learning activities
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
